
C. Randolph Coleman
The founder of The Palm Coast Estate Planning, Probate and Elder Law Center is C. Randolph Coleman, a member of The Florida Bar for over 30 years and is an experienced estate planning lawyer and probate attorney. Mr. Coleman's law practice is restricted to estate planning, asset protection planning, estate planning, probate and trust administration lawyer, and he is an elder law attorney who helps clients with Medicaid planning.
Mr. Coleman is listed in the Martindale-Hubbell® Bar Register of Pre-Eminent Lawyers, which lists only those select lawyers who have earned the A-V® Preeminent Rating in the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory and have therefore been designated by their colleagues as highest level legal ability and ethical standards in their field. He also is rated 10.0 out of 10.0 by the lawyer rating service AVVO.
He was a practicing certified public accountant for six years prior to attending the University of Florida College of Law (JD, with honors 1978), where he was a member of Florida Blue Key and Omicron Delta Kappa leadership organizations and Phi Kappa Phi, the scholarship fraternity recognizing the top 10% of his graduating class. He is a member of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law, Tax Law, and Elder Law, sections of The Florida Bar, the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys, and the Academy of Florida Elder Law Attorneys. Mr. Coleman is a frequent lecturer and speaker on estate planning, wills & trusts, probate, elder law (Medicaid planning), and asset protection planning.
He co-authored "The New Florida Trust Code," Lorman Educational Services (2008), "Asset Protection Techniques in Florida," National Business Institute (2004); and authored "Family Limited Partnerships in Florida" (Chapter: “The Use of Family Limited Partnerships in Estate Planning”), National Business Institute (2002); "Key Issues in Estate Planning and Probate in Florida" (Chapter: “Protecting the Passage of Wealth”), National Business Institute (1997); "Advanced Estate Planning Techniques in Florida" (Chapter: “The Use of Family Limited Partnerships in Estate Planning”) National Business Institute (1995).
Mr. Coleman, as well as being an experienced Florida estate planning lawyer, probate attorney, guardianship, and elder law attorney, is a continuing education instructor for various organizations, approved by the Florida Department of Financial Services as an instructor for life insurance agents and certified financial planners, and is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy for continuing education courses for Certified Public Accountants. He has served as a presenter of continuing legal education for The Florida Bar (Animal Law Issues Affecting Florida Practitioners, “ Trusts and Pets: Establishing Trusts for Pets Under Florida Law”), National Business Institute, Lorman Seminars, and Sterling Education Seminars.
He is a member of WealthCounsel, LLC, a national association of estate planning attorneys, ElderCounsel, LLC, a national association of elder law attorneys focusing on Medicaid planning and VA Pension Benefits, including Aid and Attendance, and is a participating member of WealthCounsel Advisors Forum. Mr. Coleman served as the Program Director for Asset Protection Planning for the Florida Physicians Association, from 1997 to 2006.
